Celebrating Double Wins: Partner of the Year EMEA and Women in Tech Award
It’s been an incredible week here at Mirus IT, as we’ve proudly taken home not one but two major awards! We are thrilled to announce that we’ve been named the Pax8 Partner of the Year for EMEA, a recognition of our team’s dedication to innovation and client success. On top of that, our Head of Business Operations, Becky Hatton, has won the prestigious Women in Tech Award. This accolade is a testament to Becky’s relentless work in fostering inclusivity and inspiring the next generation of tech leaders.
Dan Sharp, our Business Director, couldn’t be prouder: “Becky has been part of the team at Mirus for 8 years and during this period has occupied a number of roles from Procurement and now a core part of the Mirus Leadership Team. She is an essential cog in the Mirus machine, bringing together a number of central functions that serve the business and enable other to do what they do so well. Always willing to say yes to additional responsibility she can be trusted completely to complete all tasks, accurately and diligently. Her development into a Senior Leader within the company is testament to that and how well she is regarded across the whole business.”
Women in Tech Panel: Celebrating Inclusivity and Innovation
At the Pax8 Beyond EMEA 2024 event in Berlin this week, Becky took centre stage on the ‘Women in Tech’ panel, where she discussed how building diverse teams isn’t just about representation—it’s about driving innovation. She highlighted how businesses that embrace inclusivity and create a workplace where employees feel their voices are heard and contributions are valued, unlock a wealth of ideas and approaches that would otherwise go untapped. These perspectives enable us here at Mirus to solve problems in creative ways, helping us to push boundaries and achieve more.
The discussion was eye-opening, with vendors and partners sharing their own journeys, challenges and triumphs. Becky’s insights were a reminder of how far we’ve come in building a more supportive and engaging work environment here at Mirus IT, but also how much further we can go. We’re proud of Becky for standing as a role model and champion for diversity in tech.
Shared Learning for Shared Success Panel: The Power of Community
The learning didn’t stop there. On the main stage, Dan Sharp participated in the ‘Shared Learning for Shared Success’ panel. Joined by fellow industry leaders, Dan explored how education and community-driven innovation are key to overcoming today’s business challenges. Drawing from real-life examples, the panel underscored the importance of shared insights and collective growth.
At Mirus IT, we’ve always believed that the power of community is essential to success. As Dan shared during the session, “The collective knowledge within the industry is one of our greatest assets. By learning from each other, we can navigate challenges more effectively and drive greater innovation.” This philosophy has been at the heart of our partnership with Pax8, and it’s one of the reasons why we’ve been recognised as “Partner of the Year”.
Looking Forward: The Future is Bright
The energy and excitement at Pax8 Beyond EMEA 2024 in Germany reminded us of what’s possible when we collaborate, innovate and celebrate diversity. These awards mark a significant milestone in our journey, but they are just the beginning. As we continue to grow and evolve, we’re committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity and shared learning.
Here’s to many more milestones and successes in the future!
