Microsoft Services Price Increase on April 1st, 2023
All services will see a 9% increase.
As of April 1st, 2023, Microsoft will be raising the prices of all their products and services by 9%. This is not to be confused with previous price increases for specific products such as NCE and Microsoft 365 that took place last year.
A reminder that the cost increases for NCE affected the following types of licenses:
- Microsoft 365 Business Basic (20% Increase)
- Microsoft 365 Business Premium (10% Increase)
- Office 365 E1 (25% Increase)
- Office 365 E3 (15% Increase)
- Office 365 E5 (8.5% Increase)
- Microsoft 365 E3 (12.5% Increase)
Some of you may remember, in March 2021, Microsoft switched to a new licensing model called the New Commerce Experience (NCE). To improve the NCE, there will be another increase on April 1st. In the future, Microsoft will adjust prices based on local currency twice a year to account for currency fluctuations relative to the USD. This will increase transparency and predictability for their customers worldwide and align with common pricing models in the industry.
Please be aware that Microsoft Cloud remains competitively priced, and Microsoft is dedicated to the success of its customers and partners. Microsoft are still promising to invest in innovation, cost reduction, business optimisation and security for customers worldwide.
